Lance Ruffel

Lance Ruffel got his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at New Paltz in 1974 and traveled to the University of Oklahoma to work on his Masters Degree in Geology.   He began his career in 1976 as a Petroleum Geologist for an independent Oil Company, John A. Taylor Oil and Gas Exploration Company.  

 

Lance and his colleague Jim Trepagnier established Lance Ruffel Oil & Gas, LLC in December 1983. His focus is Oklahoma geology.

 

Lance Ruffel serves on the board for the Oklahoma Geological Foundation and is a member of the Oklahoma City geological society, AAPG, SIPES and OIPA.

 

 

Jim Trepagnier

James Trepagnier (Jim) is a founding partner of Lance Ruffel Oil & Gas, LLC and Rolling Rock, LLC, beginning in 1983. Jim is currently Vice-President and Land Manager of Lance Ruffel Oil & Gas, LLC and Managing Partner of Rolling Rock LLC.

 

Prior to the inception of the Companies he was a senior Landman at John A. Taylor and Hiawatha Oil Company (Oklahoma City independent oil and gas companies) from 1979 to 1983. Jim is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landman and the Oklahoma City Association of Petroleum Landman.

 

Jim holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma.
